From Wicked to Les Misérables, Chicago to Phantom of the Opera, Broadway in Concert features a star-studded line up of the West End and Broadway’s leading singers, delivering a sophisticated take on the best loved showstoppers of musical theatre.
To the backdrop of the fabulous Novello Orchestra with their trademark passion and charisma, the shows at the Wales Millennium Centre on 16th November and the London Palladium on 17th November are set to dazzle with showbiz glitz and glamour under the baton of David Mahoney in this brand new show.
Taking to the stage will be a glittering array of familiar faces and voices; X Factor winner and star of Memphis the Musical Matt Cardle; TV and West End star Lee Mead, who is most noted for his performances in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Wicked and Legally Blonde; Ben Forster, star of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s arena tour of Jesus Christ Superstar and currently playing the title role in the West End production of Phantom of the Opera; Sophie Evans, whose credits include the Palladium production of The Wizard of Oz and Lord of the Dance on Broadway; and Kerry Ellis, one of the most decorated leading ladies of musical theatre, with starring roles in We Will Rock You, Oliver, as well as Les Misérables, and Wicked.
Led by David Mahoney of the Classical Brit winning vocal group Only Men Aloud, The Novello Orchestra has quickly become renowned for their enigmatic performances and a charisma that has injected an energy and innovative take on the whole orchestral concept.
A night of pure indulgence, Broadway In Concert is set to become a regular fixture for fans of all things musical.
