Lee Mead Announces 20-Year Anniversary Tour and Book

Britain’s leading man Lee Mead will tour the country in a new solo show sharing the songs and stories of his stellar 20-year career.

Lee will hit the road in autumn 2027 for the brand-new tour – The Colours of My Life – kicking off on September 23 at the Century Theatre, Coalville, and concluding at the Lancaster Grand on November 13.

The tour will be complemented by the release of an exclusive new book celebrating Lee’s career.

Twenty years ago, Lee was just a hopeful unknown, who went on to beat 10,000 competitors and dazzle Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber on BBC’s Any Dream Will Do. He walked away with an 18-month contract to star in the West End revival of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. It launched Lee’s career, one that has gone on to define a generation of British musical theatre.

In the two decades since, Lee’s established himself as one of the country’s most in-demand leading men, appearing in some of the biggest musicals ever to grace the West End stage, including Wicked, Legally Blonde, Sister Act, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Chicago and Barnum.

Now, to mark this milestone anniversary, he’s ready to tell his own story for the first time - in a brand-new book and an intimate nationwide tour.

Accompanied by his musical director and pianist, Lee will talk and sing his way through a remarkable musical journey: from the terrifying thrill of a national talent show, through the West End dressing rooms and opening nights, to a career that has taken him from stage to screen and back again. Expect candid stories, unforgettable songs, and a rare, personal look at the man behind the leading roles.
